About Slug Line:
We are the new age social news blog, we are different from the rest because we don't follow the journalism convention, we don't own buildings with cars and thousands of staff. We are everywhere with a laptop, smartphone or tablet connected to the internet. We are social media fanatics; there is no moment that passes without posting or tweeting or commenting or messaging, this makes us unique.
When we found out that only tweeting, re-tweeting, posting, commenting and texting became boring we wanted something the sort of a challenge. We came up with a multimedia news center where we tell our stories, our neighbors' stories, our friends stories, celebrity stories and the most trending stories. Of-course there was money in the background but the fan part of it is that we started a revolution, a trend a movement out there and everybody soon will start moving in this direction.
Well enough bragging lets get to the details. Slug Line as mentioned, is a Social News Blog where we bring you the latest gossip, news, entertainment, opinions, discussions and any other content for rather empty gadgets. We collect our info from all the possible places from both the print and mass media, the social media sites, events, tragedies and locally from anybody around. We present the news on the blog using videos, text, audio, pictures etc and we use the social media for our target audience. In short we have social media accounts where we constantly update them and the main stories end up on our blog and are shared across the social media sites.
We are different yes, We have to punch this point in, One way we are different is that we support and will work with social causes for the better from the start: That is we have one Volunteer Kenya which shall be our focal or rather Corporate Social Responsibility channel and we are planing to extend our arms to other youth led causes out there with an eye to capturing the youth in those groups.
Now for the Million Dollar Question: How Shall we Benefit or in Short "Make Money"?
- Advertising: The main source of income is advertising, Google's own Ad-sense it the best. We have an already approved account and hoping to integrate it with our blog. Good Earnings from Ad-sense shall depend with high traffic, Now you see where social media comes in!, if we have to make like $ 100 a day, we will need like say 10, 000 page views per day. Nothing comes easy huh. "We have to work Smart not Hard and we can make it yeah",
Later on we may have our own spaces for other people to advertise on this blog.
