The United States has shown a leaner face towards Kenya, for sometime now, from president Obama, to the Crowned Oscar Winner Lupita and many more. Now A Kenyan Movie has been Screen in The US.
“Leo” is the story of a Massai boy (played by Trevor Gitonga) who wants to be a superhero and live his dreams, despite coming from a low-income home. The film’s cinematographer, Abe Martinez, has worked on Hollywood blockbusters such as: “Spiderman” and “Ali and Hancock.”
Renowned personalities in the film include former CNN correspondent, Jeff Koinange (who plays “Rugtz”), and famed businessman, Chris Kirubi, who appears as himself in the film. Jinna Mutune wrote and directed Leo, her first feature film, which showed at the Zanzibar Film Festival (2013). The film opened in Dallas, Texas earlier this week.
Some of most famous faces appeared in the movie like Chris Kirubi and media personality Jeff Koinange.
